About us

Carolyn Vogel is a nonprofit executive with a highly successful career leading strategic initiatives and driving change to enhance operational excellence in the social and philanthropic sectors. 

A returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Chief Operating Officer and interim leader, Carolyn’s expertise spans strategic operations, financial stewardship, risk management, and inclusive team leadership. She has led large-scale system transitions, including implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and procurement functions; built start-up operations from the ground up; and guided organizations through crises and periods of change, all while strengthening governance and compliance frameworks.

A collaborative and empathetic leader, Carolyn is adept at building high-performing teams, developing organizational culture, and mentoring new operational leaders. Her global perspective is informed by extensive experience in non-profits, public health, global development and philanthropy.

Carolyn holds an MPH from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Michigan, with executive training from Harvard Business School, DC Bar Nonprofit Pro Bono Center, and Third Sector’s Interim Executives Academy.  She has built and led operational structures in many organizations including PAI, The Pandemic Prevention Institute, and The Rockefeller Foundation.
